Premiums
Lead Hand Premium: 105% of the employee’s base wage rate and will be the new base wage rate.
Foreman and General Foreman Premium: Foreman will receive 100% of the Journeyperson base wage rate and will be the new base wage rate. General Foreman will receive 115% of the Journeyperson base wage rate and will be the new base wage rate.
Steward Premium: $1.00-$3.00 per hour.
Night Premium: Employees working between 17:00 and 8:00 receive a premium of $1.50 per hour.
Training Premium: Employees who are selected to train equipment operators will receive a premium of $1.00/hour for hours spent training another employee on a piece of equipment.
Allowances
Prescription Safety Glasses: The Employer will reimburse any employee 50% of the cost of prescription safety eyewear up to two hundred dollars ($200.00) to any employee who has worked for 1,200 hours. For any subsequent reimbursement the employee must have worked an additional 4,000 hours from the last reimbursement.
Leave
Bereavement: 3 days paid to make arrangements for and to attend the funeral of the employee’s spouse, common law spouse, child, legal dependant, father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, grandparents, and grandchildren.
Marriage, Compassion Care, Parental, Union, and Personal: Employer may grant leaves of absence without pay, for a time mutually agreed upon between the Employer and the employee.
Employer Contributions
Health and Welfare: $1.25 included in total pay [unchanged].
Vacation Pay: 6.0% of gross earnings [unchanged].
