*** Wages increases during the term of the new agreements negotiated in the Alberta industrial construction sector will be determined in large part by a semi-annual calculation that will track the average oil price over the six-month period prior to the month of each calculation. The calculation will also include a cost-of-living allowance variable based on the increase in the Consumer Price Index over the final two years of the agreement.
Hours of Work
40 hours per week.
Holidays
12 days.
Work performed on Saturday, Sunday or recognized holidays shall be paid at twice the regular hourly rate.
Benefits
The Employer shall indemnify the employee(s) for loss or damage of personal effects damaged or destroyed by fire at the jobsite in an amount not to exceed $400.00.
Overtime
When an employee is required to work out of their regular hours, Monday through Friday he will be paid overtime at the rate of 1 1/2 the regular rate for the first 2 hours. All additional hours shall be paid at double the regular hourly rate.
Unscheduled overtime, where the employee works through the overtime meal break will receive both a meal allowance of $20.00 and a ½ hour of straight time wages in lieu of the meal and meal break.
Allowances
Travel 200 kilometres= $84; 300 kilometres= $120; 375 kilometres= $144; 475 kilometres= $330; and $168 pay allowance will be given when the jobs are 300 to 475 kilometres from Edmonton City Hall.
