Lump-Sum Payment

Effective September 28, 2011, $300 for employees with less than 5 years as of the date of ratification and $400 for employees with 5 years or greater.

Hours of Work

84 hours per 14 day pay period (unchanged).

Probationary Period: 288 hours or 3 months (90 calendar days), which ever is greater.

Paid Holidays

11 days (unchanged).

Paid Vacation

2 weeks earned at 4.0% after 1 year, 3 at 6.0% after 5, and 4 at 8.0% after 10 (unchanged).

Pension Plan

Employer Contributions: 2.0% of total earnings after 10 years of seniority (new addition). Also, 1.0% of total earnings after 12 months of employment (unchanged).

Allowances

Safety Boots/Shoes: Maximum of $120 ($80) per year.

Sick Leave

Employees absent in excess of 3 consecutive days or more will provide a medical certificate and the employer may require medical certificate for shorter absences in cases of repeat or pattern absenteeism (new addition).

Part-time employees hired after ratification will receive 5 days paid sick leave per year after 1 year of employment (new addition).

Military Leave (new addition)

Unpaid leave of absence granted to employee to serve in the Canadian Military or Reserves. Seniority will continue to accumulate.

Education Fund

$0.02 ($0.02) per hour for all hours worked to the Union Education Fund.
