5 weeks after 18 years and 6 weeks after 24 years (new provision). Also, 2 weeks after 10 months (1 year), 3 weeks after 4 (5) years and 4 weeks after 9 (10) years.

Health and well-being

Dental care plan: as of June 1, 2011, the employer pays $0.20 ($0.18) into the dental care plan per hour worked, per employee. As of June 1, 2012, this amount will increase to $0.21.

Group insurance: the employer pays 50% of the premium cost, but up to established maximum thresholds that vary depending on the employee’s job category and his/her family situation (50% of the premium cost is paid by the employer and 50% by the employee).

Retirement plan

Phased retirement: the parties agree to establish a “reduced week” program that applies to employees aged 55 or older and who have at least 15 years of seniority. Under this program, the employee’s work week is reduced to 32 or 24 hours per week [new provision].

Allowances

Meals: $9.75 ($9) for an employee who has to work for a period of at least 3 hours immediately following his/her normal work day.

$9.75 ($9) plus an unpaid 30-minute meal break for an employee who works at least 5 hours on an unscheduled day.

Also, a day shift employee who has to come to work at the employer’s request at least 2 hours before the start of his/her shift will be paid for a 17-minute period as well as an amount of $5.75 ($5) to enable him/her to have breakfast.

Evening shift: $0.45 ($0.40) per hour as of March 23, 2011 and $0.50 as of June 1, 2014.

Night shift: $0.50 ($0.40) per hour as of March 23, 2011 and $0.55 as of June 1, 2014.

Trainer: $0.75 per hour [new provision].

Disintoxication: $250 [nouvelle disposition].

Leave

Family obligations: 10 days per year, without pay, for fulfilling obligations pertaining to the daycare, health or education of his/her child or the child of his/her spouse, or due to the health of his/her spouse, father, mother, a brother, a sister or a grandparent [new provision].
