Cost-of-Living Allowance

An amount equal to the percentage increase in the CPI triggered at 2.75% with a cap of 2.75%. First and only calculation covers February 2014 over February 2013. Any amount generated will be folded into wages on April 1, 2014 (previous formula similar did not generate money).

Health and Welfare

Orthodontics: Maximum of $4,200 ($4,000) per person per lifetime; April 1, 2013, $4,400; April 1, 2014, $4,600.

Medical Forms: To be completed for any absence in excess of 4 (5) continuous days/shifts.

Chiropractor: Maximum of $725 ($700) per year; April 1, 2013, $750; April 1, 2014, $775.

Physiotherapy: Maximum of $2,000 per year (new addition).

Registered Clinical Psychologist: Maximum of $5,000 ($2,000) per person, per calendar year.

Paramedical: Maximum of $675 ($650); April 1, 2013, $700; April 1, 2014, $725.

Allowances

Work Boots: 1 or 2 pairs per calendar year with a combined maximum of $350 (previously 1 pair, $200 and another pair, $150).

Labour-Management Committees

Hiring Hall Classification (new addition): To be established as a pilot project to create a process in order to meet labour needs and with quality workers.

Thermal Operator (new addition): To be established by July 1, 2012, to look at options that would make efficient use of the skills, training, and qualifications held by the technicians and supervisors.

Staffing (new addition): To be established to discuss staffing plans for regular, temporary, and contract employees.
