Lump sum

$390 for employees who worked full-time hours since October 1, 2012, prorated for part-time and casual employees who worked less than full-time hours in the time period.

Probationary Rate

Effective July 1, 2014, $1.25 per hour less than job rates for the period of probation.

Hours of Work

37.5 hours per week [unchanged].

Paid Holidays

Paid Vacation

2 weeks earned after 1 year, 3 weeks after 6 years, 4 weeks after 11 years, and 5 weeks after 16 years [unchanged]. Effective July 1, 2015, 2 weeks and 2 days after 5 year, 3 weeks and 2 days after 9 years.

Bereavement Leave

3 paid days [unchanged]. An additional 2 consecutive days without pay shall be granted to employees who are required to travel 300 kilometers or more (one way) in order to attend the funeral.

Sick leave

Unused sick days will be paid out each February based on 50% of unused time, up to a maximum of 3 days. The employer will reimburse employees for any costs incurred, to a maximum of $15.00 if required by the employer to prove sickness.

Premiums

Shoe allowance: $0.10 per shift worked, or approximately $25 per year towards the purchase of non-slip shoes for full-time workers.

Meal allowance: $2.00 [$1.75]

Call Back to Work: $0.40 [$0.31] per kilometer from the employee’s home to the work site and return, plus parking costs, if any.

Transportation allowance: $0.40 [$0.31] per kilometer. Minimum allowance shall be $10.00.

Health and Welfare

Within 30 days of ratification, the parties agree to meet to discuss the implementation of the BC PharmaCare formulary for all benefits eligible employees effective March 1, 2014.
