Lead Hand Premium

Paid Holidays

Effective April 2013, 11 (10) days, addition of Family Day (new addition).

Paid Vacation

4 weeks earned at 10% after 20 years of service (new addition). Also, 2 weeks at 4.0% after 1 year, 3 at 6.0% after 5 and 4 at 8.0% after 10 (unchanged).

Pension Plan

Employer Contributions: Effective June 1, 2012, 2.0% for employees after 10 years of service (new addition).

Allowances:

Uniforms: 4 (3) shirts for full-time employees.

Boots: $100 ($80) per year.

Licenses: Reimbursement of 100% (excess of $15.00 per year) for renewal of licenses, inclusive of photos.

Sick Days

Employees will require a medical certificate for absences of 3 consecutive days or longer and in cases where repeat or pattern absenteeism exists (new addition).

Canadian Citizenship (new addition)

1 unpaid day to obtain Canadian Citizenship.

Education Fund

Effective June 1, 2012, employer contributes 0.02$ (0.01$) per hour to the Steelworker’s Security Officer’s Education Fund.
