Cost-of-Living Allowance
Effective January 1, 2014, 2015 and 2061, wage adjustments of 2.5% or an amount equivalent to the increase in the CPI for Newfoundland and Labrador, NL092, for the previous 12 month period, triggered at 2.5%, whichever is greater.
Bonuses
Seniority Bonus: $2,000 [$1,500] after 1 year of continuous service; $2,500 [$2,000] after 2; $3,000 [$2,500] after 3; $3,500 [$3,000] after 4; $5,000 [$3,500] after 5; $5,500 [$5,000] after 6; $6,000 [$5,500] after 7; $7,000 [$6,000] after 8; $8,000 [$6,500] after 9; and $10,000 [$7,000] after 10.
Hours of Work
90 per week [unchanged].
Pension Plan
Effective January 1, 2013, non-probationary employees shall receive an annual contribution to their RRSP account equivalent to 11.34% [9.5%] of basic pay with contributions to be made monthly.
Allowances
Retirement: $5,000 [$3,500] lump sum with 10-14 years of service with the employer payable upon normal retirement to any employee who has reached the age of 55 years; $10,000 [$5,500], 15-19 years, and $15,000 [$7,500], 20 years or more.
Vehicle: $0.70 [$0.50] per kilometre.
Marine Disaster: Maximum of $3,500 [$2,000] for loss of clothing or other personal effects.
Hiring Hall Fund
Contributions calculated at a rate of $2.60 [$2.55] per day or $474.50 [$463.38] per year; January 2014, 2015, and 2016, contribution will increase in accordance to the Consumer Price Index.
