Paid Annual Leave

Signing Bonus

Salary Range Maximum

Employees who have reached the maximum in their salary range will receive annual increases of 3% in 2009, 2010, and 2011. In subsequent years, the salary adjustment will be equal to the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by Statistics Canada [new addition].

Overtime

$25 for the captain, $15 for the co‑pilot and $10 for flight attendants for each hour worked after 80 hours in the same work block [new addition].

Bonuses

Trainer Bonus: Employees who give training or conduct flight tests are entitled to the following amounts: $25 per hour for flight simulator training; $65 per hour for in‑flight training; $25 per hour for PPC flight tests; $65 per day for online inspections; $2,000 per year for a Type B approved check pilot; $4,000 per year for a Type A approved check pilot; and $45 per day for in‑flight monitoring (new additions).

Leave

Bereavement Leave: 5 days (3) in the event of the death of a sister, brother, father‑in‑law, mother‑in‑law, brother or sister of own spouse or the spouse of own brother or sister

Allowances and Benefits

Personal Vehicle Use: $0.55 ($0.45) per kilometre travelled

Meals: $15 for breakfast [unchanged]; $20 ($15) for lunch and $30 ($25) for dinner when a crew member is on duty outside own base and has no access to provided food.

Corrective Lenses: $250 renewable every 3 (5) years
