Trailer clause

For the years 2015 to 2017, if the employer grants wage increases higher than provided in this collective agreement, employees will receive such increases. If the employer grants wage increases lower than provided in this collective agreement, an agreement may be reached with the Union to amend the increases provided in the collective agreement.

Performance Pay

In 2013 and 2014, additional annual wage increases of 0.0% to 5.5% [7.0%], depending on the employee’s performance. In 2015 to 2017, the maximum is 6.0%.

Premiums

Night shift: $0.85 per hour when the employee’s shift ends at or exceeds 20 [22] hours.

Hours of Work

35 hours per week [unchanged].

Given Hours: An employee has the option of giving time to another employee assigned to the same duties in order to allow for greater flexibility in specific and occasional situations. To make up the hours given, employees may use their floating leave or banked time [new addition].

Accumulated Overtime

Maximum 70 [35] hours per year.

Paid Holidays

11 days [no change].

Paid Vacation

15 days after 1 year of service, 20 after 5, 21 after 16, 22 after 17, 23 after 18, 24 after 19 years and 25 after 20 [unchanged].

Furthermore, on the employee’s anniversary only, the employee receives $250 [two additional vacation days] at 15 years of service, $500 [five additional vacation days] at 20 years, $500 and five additional vacation days [10 additional vacation days] at 25 years, $750 and 10 additional vacation days [15 additional vacation days] at 30 years, $1,000 and 15 additional vacation days [20 additional vacation days] at 35 years, and $1,000 and 20 additional vacation days [25 additional vacation days] at 40 years..

Leave

Self-funded leave: Employees with five years of seniority may bank a percentage of their salary in order to accumulate 5 or 10 days of leave [previously a maximum of five days of leave after 10 years of service and a maximum of 10 days after 20 years].
