Hours of Work
44.5 hours per week for full-time drivers; 40 hours per week for other classifications; less than 30 hours per week for part-time employees (unchanged).
Paid Holidays
9 days plus one floating day for all provinces except British Columbia and Atlantic provinces, who have 10 paid holidays with no floating days and 10 paid holidays plus one floating day, respectively (unchanged).
Paid Vacation
6 weeks earned after 25 (30) years. 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, and 5 weeks after 15 years (unchanged).
Premiums
Fork-lift truck operator, excluding Quebec: $0.50 per hour (new addition).
Hazardous materials, excluding Quebec: $0.50 per hour (new addition).
Preloading: $0.50 per hour (new addition).
Utility Courier, Utility Mail Carrier, and Linehaul (Float) Drivers: $35 ($30) per week.
Team leader, excluding British Columbia: $30 ($25) per week.
Employee Benefits
Vision: $225 ($200) every 2 years, effective January 1, 2012 and $250, effective January 1, 2015.
Dental: maximum of $2,000 (n/a) per year. Crowns, bridges and white fillings are now covered (new addition).
Pension Plan
Basic benefit, per month per year of service: $72 ($70), effective January 1, 2012; $74, effective January 1, 2013; $76, effective January 1, 2014; $78, effective January 1, 2015; and $85, effective January 1, 2016.
Early retirement: employees 55 and over, hired before January 1, 2012, who retire during the term of the collective agreement, shall receive a maximum annual retirement allowance of $35,000, if the combined age and years of continuous service total 85 points. The retirement allowance shall decrease by $1,000 for each point below the threshold of 85 points (new addition).
Allowances and Compensation
Safety shoes: $125 ($100) per year.
Layover, for class 117 drivers: $30 ($20) per layover, if the layover is between 4 hours + 1 minute and 8 hours; $60 ($50) as well as one hotel room, if the layover is 8 hours + 1 minute or longer.
Tools, Ontario sorting centre: $350 ($300) per year, for all full-time certified and uncertified tradespeople who have completed their probationary period.
Labour-Management Committee
Outsourcing: the parties agree to meet up to 2 times per year to discuss the possibility of converting third-party covered Linehaul/delivery and pickup routes into company-covered routes (new addition).
