Paid Holidays

Paid Vacation
As of 2014, 6 weeks after 25 years (new addition).
In addition, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 after 5, 4 after 10, and 5 after 18 (unchanged).
Health and Welfare
Contributions to a Benefits Program: For temporary employees, the employer’s contribution is 50% and the employee’s contribution is 50% (new addition). For permanent employees, the employer’s contribution is 70% and the employee’s contribution is 30% (unchanged).
Pension Plan
Progressive Retirement: A progressive retirement program will be implemented for employees who were aged 55 and over in their last two years of working prior to retirement. This program will particularly allow eligible employees to obtain reduced work schedules while still maintaining their benefits and their seniority (new addition).
Leaves
Bereavement for Temporary Employees: 3 (1) days, with full salary, upon the death or funeral of their spouse, their child, or their spouse’s child, with the possibility of extending the leave by 3 days but without wages.
In addition, the definition of bereavement leave has been expanded. Henceforth, the employee is entitled to paid bereavement leave for 3 working days set out in their schedule upon the death of their grandparents (new addition).
