Apprentices Rates of Pay

Period 1, 60% (55%) of journeyman’s rate; period 2, 70% (65%); period 3, 80% (75%); period 4, 90% (85%); elimination of period 5 at 95% (new addition).

Hours of Work

36.25 to 40 hours per week, depending on classification (unchanged).

Overtime

Banking: Transit Safety Officers, Customer Attendants and Dispatchers may bank up to 60 (28) hours per year.

3 weeks earned after 1 year, 4 after 8, 5 after 15, and 6 after 25 (unchanged).

Health and Welfare

Retiree Benefits: Employees hired on or after April 19, 2001 and eligible for retiree benefits will pay 45% (50%) of the premium up to age 65, thereafter 100%; coverage to include supplementary health and hospital (new addition).

Allowances

Tool: Maintenance employee, $250 - $800 ($100 - $550) depending on classification; June, 2012, additional 10%.
