Gain Sharing Plan
Maximum of 4.0% of annual salary if targets are met in any given Plan Year [previously three quantitative corporate goals are met and exceeded in any year]. Payments would be made April 30 of each year, based on corporate performance for the previous calendar year. Employees who retire during a gain sharing year are eligible for a pro-rated gain sharing payment for the period they worked during that year [unchanged].

Hours of Work
37 1/2 per week for most employees, worked in various shifts [unchanged]. Claim centre employees work nine 7-hour-and-50-minute shifts in each two-week period and receive one Friday off in that fortnight [unchanged].
Banking - During the period of 2010-2014, employees may elect to take out any banked hours that were earned prior to January 1, 2009 [new addition].
Other Premium Pay
Forklift [new addition] - 5.0% of hourly rate for all time spent on training.
Paid Holidays

Paid Vacation
3 weeks earned after 1 year, 4 after 8, 5 after 17, 6 after 25, and 7 after 30; lesser entitlements for employees working less hours per week [unchanged].
Health and Welfare
Vision Care - Laser eye surgery is now covered under vision care benefit (new addition).
Allowances
Mileage - Employees using their own vehicles for transportation receive 51¢ (44¢) per kilometer; July 1, 2013, 52¢.
Meals - $12 [$10] when the employee works at least 2 overtime hours; called out and works 4 hours overtime and when an employee works beyond 4 hours overtime. Also, breakfast, $10 [$7.00]; lunch, $12 [$8.00]; dinner, $21 [$15].
Maternity Leave
Supplemental Employee Benefits Plan [new addition] – Effective July 1, 2013, employer pays 85% of employee’s base pay/regular pay, for a maximum duration of 15 weeks. Two-week waiting period remunerated at 100% of salary.
Parental Leave
The mother of the child will be entitled to a maximum benefit of 35 [12] consecutive weeks; father of child, 37 weeks [new addition].
Supplemental Employee Benefits Plan [new addition] – Effective July 1, 2013, employer pays 85% of employee’s base pay/regular pay, for a maximum of 10 weeks.
Adoption Leave
Employees are entitled to a maximum of 37 [26] consecutive weeks.
Compassionate Care [new addition]
Employees who meet the eligibility requirements of the British Columbia Employment Standards Act will be eligible for leave.
Military Leave
Employee may be granted a maximum of 4 [2] paid weeks for Canadian Armed Forces (Reserve) Training Camps.
Job Security
Grandfathering [new addition] – Employees who are reclassified will suffer no loss of wages and benefits during the time they remain in their new position.
Workload Study [new addition]
Employer has committed to a new workload study for jobs that have been impacted by organizational change due to implementation of the Claims Job Hierarchy. Recommendations will be provided indicating workload standards and metrics.
