Lump-Sum Payment

Part-Time employees:  $100 for employees not receiving a minimum of $0.40 per hour wage increase and who are in the progression stage and move to the new wage scale.

Hours of Work

Full-time employee, 38 per week; part-time employee, minimum of 4 hours of work per day [unchanged].

Part-time Employees:  The first 25% of most senior employees will have a guarantee of 28 hours; next 15% most senior, 24 hours; next 10% most senior, 20 hours [new addition].

Scheduling [new addition]:  Pilot project where a 2 week rolling schedule for a period of 8-12 months will be conducted.  Thereafter, the project will be stopped and discussed unless agreed to continue.

Probationary Period:  After 45 [90] worked days.

Paid Holidays

Full and part-time employees, 10 days. Eligible part-time employees are entitled to statutory holiday pay equal to the average number of hours worked per day over the four preceding weeks, multiplied by the applicable normal hourly rate [unchanged].

Paid Vacation

Full-time employees, 2 weeks earned after 1 year, 3 after 4, 4 after 9, 5 after 15, and 6 after 25, [unchanged]

Part-time employee, 4.0% of gross earnings for employees with less than 4 years’ service, 6.0% after 4 years, 8.0% after 9 years, and 9.0% after 15 years [unchanged].

Leave

Personal: Employees hired after July 1, 2015 will be entitled to 1 paid day [new addition].

Health and Welfare

Long-Term Disability:  Effective January 2018, $1,625 [$1,500] per month.

Drug Plan: All full-time and part-time employees will be provided with a prescription drug card [new addition].

Pension Plan

Employer Contributions:  Effective June 30, 2015, $1.45 [$1.25] per hour.  The employer makes a commitment to contribute for a period of 10 years subject to employees’ contribution [new addition].

Employee Contributions [new addition]:  Effective July 1, 2015, there will be employee self-contributions based on years of service.  Employees with less than 2 years will contribute $0.00 per hour; 2-8 years, $0.22; 8 years or more, $0.40.

Effective July 1, 2020, $0.07 [$0.05] per hour.
