Hours of Work

40 hours per week, comprised of a 5-day work week (unchanged).

Overtime

Meal: $7.25 ($6.25) after 2 or more hours.

Paid Holidays

12 days (unchanged).

Paid Vacation

2 weeks earned after 1 year, 3 after 5, 4 after 10, 5 after 20, and 6 after 25 (unchanged).

Health and Welfare

Life Insurance: Effective June 24, 2012, $31,000 ($29,000); June 24, 2013, $32,000; June 24, 2014, $34,000; June 24, 2015, $36,000.

Weekly Indemnity: Effective June 24, 2012, $506 ($486); June 24, 2013, $516; June 24, 2014, $526; June 24, 2015, $546.

Dental Plan: Effective January 1, 2013, coverage based on 2012 (2011) Ontario Dental Association fee schedule; January 1, 2014, 2013 fee schedule; January 1, 2015, 2014 fee schedule; January 1, 2016, 2015 fee schedule.

Vision Care: Effective June 24, 2012, $250 ($200) every 2 years.

Pension Plan

Defined Contribution Plan (new addition): Effective June 2012, the pension plan will be amended so that employees hired after the date of ratification will no longer belong to the existing defined benefit plan. Employer will establish a Registered Defined Contribution Plan whereby employees will contribute a minimum of 0.0% to a maximum of 8.5%, depending on years of service.

Effective June 2012, existing members of the defined benefit plan will be given a one-time choice to join the new defined contribution plan for future service (new addition).

Allowances

Safety Prescription Glasses (new addition): Maximum of $150 that will count towards glasses and safety boots.

Tool: Accumulation of $200 ($150) yearly allowance to a maximum of $800 ($450) to be used within the term of the agreement.

Labour-Management Committee

Pension Plan (new addition): This committee will make a joint proposal to Financial Services Commission of Ontario to address the present defined benefit pension plan deficiencies.
